Ice Lip

icing lip piercing made it swell more?

so i just pierced my lip about yesterday, i have a hoop in to allow swelling. n it swelled alright, i iced it in hopes of bringing the swelling down, but it just made it worse. it swelled a lot more. how do i reduce the swelling? will the swelling go down...? should i keep icing it?

Take a Tylenol. Since you already got the piercing, you can take a painkiller to knock down the swelling. Also, try soaking it in warm water mixed with sea salt.
