How do I get rid of the hour glass constantly swirling when I check my email?

The hourglass icon is generated by your computer system. Normally it means that your computer or processor is working hard, or running slowly. You can't get rid of the hourglass icon. What you can do is make sure your processor has all the resources to itself in order for it to work a little faster. You can do this by closing all the programs you may not be using at the time that you access your emails.
Also note that your Web browser may be the one that is slow, not necessarily your computer. For example if you try to access your emails at busy times when traffic is much, your web page may download very slowly.
