Can the upvc door frame extender be used on UPVC Window frame?

I took wrong measurements for my upvc window. Because is on the first floor, I measured it from inside and it is short both sides by 20mm outside. Can the upvc door frame extender be used for the window frame? Please answer only when you are sure.

The door 'knock-ons' will USUALLY fit the windows as well - provided they are both the same width ( usually 60mm or 70mm). Presumably you have a length of extender spare- why not cut off a small piece, say 20mm,and test it first. Otherwise, the SAME window manufacturer should sell you a length for a few quid (U.K). Alternatively, fix the window using wooden batons either side and cover on the outside with 25mm pvcu trim from B&Q. Not as aesthetically pleasing but will do the job.
